Exciting news! We are looking for a Head of Student Engagement to help transform the University of Wolverhampton Students’ Union.
Who are we?
We are the official representative body of the University of Wolverhampton’s students. We provide support and opportunities for students to make the most of their time at University.
The staff, officers and volunteers at Wolverhampton Students’ Union dedicate their time, energy and work to making University the best it can be for all students.
We set our ambitions high because we believe the student community at Wolverhampton deserves that. We want to make them proud to be part of Wolverhampton and all the opportunities available to them.
We want all of our students to know that the Union has a positive impact on their life, both on their campus/es and in the community. We want them to feel that they can have an impact over what the Union offers that they can effectively hold their representatives to account, and that through the Union they can be part of significant change on issues they care about.

Who do we want to join us?
We are at a huge point of change and we are looking for a strong, dynamic leader to join the senior leadership team, playing a key role in making our ambitious plans for the next year a reality.
We need someone who is willing to bring their management skills and expertise in membership structures, community engagement, communications and leadership to the organisation, and passionately share that knowledge and experience to take the organisation from good to great.
You may have developed these skills in many different sectors and settings and your insight and knowledge will be an added bonus to us.
Working with the rest of the senior leadership team you will inspire Union staff and officers on how they can communicate their messages with students and drive up participation whilst improving our reputation, making sure the student community really do get the best from us.
You will take on all aspects of operational management and measuring impact and so will need a confidence in these areas to hit the ground running at a time of great organisational change. You’ll have a lot of scope to contribute your ideas and perspective whilst being flexible and incorporating others’ contributions.
