Part Time Positions
Union Chair is the chair of Shadow Council, the body that holds elected officers to account and verifies that Create Change actions are accomplished. Union Chair also hears democratic complaints, and has a role in ensuring the Union's Code of Conduct is upheld.
They scrutinise the work of the Sabbatical Officers, and help students engage effectively with democracy, working with Create Change to form and pass new policy.
Shadow Councillors sit on Shadow Council and hold your Officers to account. They ensure that the promises and objectives your Officers were elected to perform get done and make sure Ideas from Create Change that have been assigned to Officers happen.
They inspect, question, challenge, and disrupt in order to scrutinise the work of the Sabbatical Officers and Students' Union as a whole. They help students engage effectively with democracy, working with Create Change to form and pass new policy.
