My name is Adam Khan and I am a History and Politics student. I have been active within the society since 2012 and I am running for Chair as I feel I can still bring more to the society and make it expand in my final year of studies. I have experience of being on the society committee, being the Student Unions’ LGBT+ Rep last year and also being an NUS LGBT Delegate for the previous 2 years. I have experience with the Student Union as well, being on its Executive Committee which votes on what policies get taken to Union Council, which I also sit on. I intend to maintain the societies ‘safe space’ and all welcoming aspect, maintain the social side of the society, make sure there are campaigns being done next year and also make sure the LGBT*+ society is a voice within the Students’ Union, and the University itself. Please vote me for Chair as I want to keep this much needed society alive.
