About Us

J-Soc for more information email japanesesociety@wlv.ac.uk

Saishou ni itte oku (let me say this to start.)

Konnichiwa to yokoso (hello and welcome) to the J-Soc page. J-Soc is short for Japanese Society and aims to promote J-culture outside of traditional societal activities.

The J-Soc this year aims to introduce topics such as Tokusatsu (live action;) kakkoii (cool things) and kawaii (cute things) to the students union societal experience. Through the use of live action, manga and cosplay, we hope to get students involved in a culture very different from that experienced in Wolverhampton.

We collaborate for events with WAC (the Wolves Anime Club) and the TCG (Trading Card Game society) and hope to introduce events such as festival based events as well as cosplay events and meals throughout the year.

If you want to get in touch please email JapaneseSociety@wlv.ac.uk or ask at the SU reception.

We also have a facebook group, so please feel free to join us:
