CHARGE: the Multi-Award Winning Student Employability Organisation.
Our overall aim is to Improve Students: Employability; Network; and CV. To achieve this we are organising a variety of Business Visits, Careers Events, Fun Days, and regularly published E-Magazines. We will also be arranging Opportunities for students to get involved through Volunteering.

Business Visits
These visits enable students to: Network with Employers; Assess if the Industry / Company / Culture are suited to them; Learn what Employers are looking for; and Gain a Competitive Advantage.
The visits will involve: Shadowing Professionals – depending on the Student’s Preferences, they may Shadow Accountants, HR Managers, Business Developers, IT Professionals or other such areas to develop understanding and find out what the Professionals think and recommend about the Career; there will also be Presentations about the Business, the Industry and other key areas; and discussions, allowing students to ask important questions.
We are currently developing Business Visit opportunities with Large Companies including:
Marston’s, Thomas Vale, Kier Construction, Dobbies Garden Centre and Tarmac

Careers Events
Due to us having strong links with the Careers Department and The Workplace, we will be contributing to a variety of events each year, including the ‘Careers Roadshows’. We will be working very closely with the Careers Department and The Workplace during the year to develop even more opportunities for students.
We are also working closely with Senior Entrepreneurship Module lecturers to develop avenues for Entrepreneurial students to showcase their skills and on determining awards for their recognition.

Charitable Fun Days
We will be organising a number of fun days throughout the year – designed to get students engaged; either by volunteering or having fun taking part in activities. We intend to raise money through fun activities and then donate it to charities.

E-Magazine
We will shortly begin publishing an E-Magazine that will have topics including: Business Events; Opportunities; and Entertainment; keeping you up-to-date with the latest information.
