About Faitlyn
I'm a Mathematical Sciences student (help) that participates frequently in Shadow Council. I attend Mental Health forum and LGBT+ events. I have spent time helping out as a volunteer for Wolverhampton Fair Traid for the last two years. Participation in these activities has helped me to feel an importance towards Well-being, LGBT+ and including whom I can into activities.

For Mental Health, my aim is to keep the Befrienders program running and promote it further to the student body, with further aim to invite external speakers in for events to raise awareness and support well-being around mental health.
Towards Events, my aim will be to support a variety of events, examples of the diverse events I think we could support and add to are: Chinese New Year, Pride and Refreshers (that did not happen this year). This can be linked into mental health by adding to the events with inviting speakers in and supporting activities on days such as World Mental Health Day.
Finally, there is student engagement, of which my first aim is to look at investigating what students want and don't like about what we do, from there I can have foundations on how I can help students get more involved. As an add on to this, I aim to revive volunteering opportunities and revive the SU juice bar/cafe that has since been removed.
