The Students’ Union food bank has been relaunched for Semester Two.

The SU Foodbank, now known as the Food and More Bank, takes referrals from any University or SU staff member, or other person in authority (accommodation manager for example) who has recently spoken to a student they feel could do with some temporary help.

Referrals must still come through to the SU Advice and Representation Centre by email in the first instance - to - giving brief details of the conversation and providing (with the students consent) contact details so that we can arrange a mutually convenient time for the student to collect some provisions.

The referrals process for satellite campuses (Telford, Walsall and Burton) will be taken the same way, except that the Students’ Union will usually arrange for provision to be sent over for collection (likely by inter-site transport) rather than make the student come in to City Campus to collect.

Donations for goods will still be accepted, but from 27 January we will also now be able to accept monetary donations - where a contribution towards the continued funding of the food bank can be made by card via the new Food and More Bank webpage or in cash at the City Campus SU Reception – suggested donation just £1.
