Overview

Drop-in’ sessions usually last about 20 - 30 minutes. No appointment is necessary as they are arranged on a first come first served basis.

As the name suggests, it’s an opportunity to ‘drop in’ or ‘drop by’ (whichever you prefer) and see someone regarding any aspect of your mental health and wellbeing that is causing you concern.  You will have the opportunity to meet with specialist staff who can advise and support you regarding ways of managing your mental health and wellbeing.  You may be signposted to other avenues of support, whether external to the university, or internally.  In order to ensure that we are able to see as many people as possible that might attend, and as slots will be time limited, in some instances it may be advisable for you to be booked in for a more detailed appointment later on.  This will be agreed and discussed with you.
