Candidate for the position of SU President

GEORGE NWANKPA

It was all about YOU, and now YOU are involved!

As an astute life coach with years of volunteering lifestyle, a one-time president of BGIS Student Club at Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), a member of PHI THETA KAPPA Honour Society for excellence, a vibrant student ambassador at the University of Wolverhampton, I hereby seek your votes for a memorable student experience.

  • Under my leadership, Volunteering activities and opportunities for existing students to engage with incoming students will be activated. We will be more engaging at receiving international Students from their arrival at the airports till they are settled in.
  • Student accommodation needs will be my priority, as we will be setting up the required machinery to meet private rental requirements for students and their families, amid UK’s housing crises.
  • We will signpost students to jobs that will NOT wear them out for their academics, within the permitted hour limits.
  • The leadership of my team and student union volunteers will be more engaging with the first-time visitors through the applicant day outings, and other enrolment outings to sell our warmth, diversity, pride, and virtue of being a Wolve.
  • The Vulnerable and the physically challenged in our midst will find their strength, Honour, and Respect in my leadership team, as we will go to them and not wait for them to come to us.

Though tribe and tongue may differ, our diversity will be our strength under my leadership:

  • We will be more Student facing, and we will stand up for you in brotherhood.
  • We will be in the membership of every student body and will hear from the students directly.
  • Telford and Walsall students will experience better engagement with the student union leadership – the ISOLATION is over from day 1, through student-centred activities.
  • We will push forward the best representation of an inclusive and multicultural student body in the black country - Wolverhampton.

Have your issues lingered on the ASK table, the Records, the international office, or the Local authorities for too long?

  • I represent the voice of all who are enmeshed in academic and personal issues, and my team will assist you in navigating them all.
  • We will engage the authorities that hang an unwholesome TAX burden on you, disregarding the existing laws and policies, and signpost you to a safe Tax haven, and your rights.
  • We will signpost you to your solution by getting involved and making sure people are held accountable. We will simplify and signpost you to the policies that get you out of every lingering matter – you will not be alone in it.
  • We will hold regular town hall meetings for your voice and face-to-face feedback, where the paper feedback will only be an option if you choose to hide your identity.

Do the ratings of our alma mater bother you? – what the present students are saying is taking a toll on the pride of the past students in their workplace.

  • I have come forward as a catalyst of change in the landscape of our ratings for the good of all, as this depends on what YOU have to say.
  • I have come to ignite an uncommon student experience because YOU matter most to the school authority.
  • I am here to serve the YOU that is being forged, through this great Black Country institution, the best of all multicultural communities.
  • We will come to YOU, rather than wait for YOU to come to us – the student union is about YOU.

Under my leadership, it will be really fun and pride to be a student at the University of Wolverhampton.

I AM JUST AFTER “THE YOU”, AND WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY!

– now, YOU are involved…..
