Rise for a better academic life!!!
Rise for a better academic life!!!
I am Ekom Ibiok, and I am running for the post of Vice President Academics in the upcoming elections. I am highly confident in my abilities. I believe I have the most well-thought and realistic ideas that deal with the concerns that I have seen, experienced, and heard from students and staffs across the entire University of Wolverhampton.
Personally, I believe this role is all about you (the students), your education and your welfare. I hope to represent students on matters relating directly to the academic life of students such as the teaching quality, library provision, grades, extensions, and course feedback etc. Further, I know that our vital needs as students include appropriate advice, support, and protection. My aim is to ensure that every student has access to the support, advice, and protection you need to excel in your academic pursuits.
What I’m I offering?
These are my vows to you, if elected as your next Vice president:
1. I will ensure that when matters are presented, I will handle them mainly from the views and perspectives of being a student with the sole aim of protecting the student
2. Accessibility will never be an issue you will have to deal with
3. I pledge to be Just, and fair while administering my duties, and providing support to students
4. I pledge to be a source of encouragement to every student,
5. I pledge to be at the forefront of facilitating technologies, and changing the rules to suit the life of a modern-day student, and finally,
6. I pledge to fight and ensure that the academic life of students will never be a source of depression, fear, or anxiety.
After spending over Six years in the University environment, I can confidently tell you, I have been there, and I have seen it all. I urge you, let’s all come together to implement and kick start the journey for a new academic future we as modern day students want.
