BEING OF SERVICE TO OTHERS IS WHAT BRINGS TRUE HAPPINESS!

VOTE #1 BISOLA FOR VP COMMUNITY

INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY

My name is BISOLA, and I am contesting to be elected as VP Community. As I continue to grow and learn, what is increasingly evident is the importance of a community and the value and impact it can have on us as individuals. It is a place to grow, learn and most importantly, a place to help. It is a place where the unheard voices are heard for change. The individuals are many times bettered by the community around them and this what I desire for us – a better, a stronger, and helpful community. I WANT TO HELP. So, I use this opportunity to announce my candidacy for VP COMMUNITY AND WELFARE

As your VP Community officer I intend to do the following:

BRIDGE ACADEMIC AND EMPLOYMENT GAP

? Whatever gap that has existed between students and the job market after and even during school, it is my goal through Workshops, Seminars, Webinars and more to facilitate opportunities that can bridge that gap and integrate students properly into the job market.

RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT SICKLE CELL

? It is also very dear to me that this community, our community, does its part in raising awareness about Sickle Cell anddisabilities of any kind. Every voice, no matter how big or small, can be an instrument for change. We need to help eradicate any Bias against these things through helpful conversations. Your voice matters, the community should and will be a place where you can be heard without fear or judgment. I want to be able to help us in any possible way I can to reduce/eliminate these barriers.

BUILD A STRONGER INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY

? As an international student, I understand the value of having people around you who can help you adjust to new environment. My goal is to foster a community that provides a strong and stable foundation to build upon for international students from different demographics at this prestigious University. There is strength in diversity and the only way we can grow and move forward is TOGETHER.

INCREASE THE PRESENCE OF ALL LIBERATION GROUPS

? I aim to validate voice of every liberation group and society in our university by increasing the online and physical presence of all liberation groups in our campus.
