MISS ANISAH KHALID

What experience do you have that will help you in this role?

As a current elected officer at the union, I have a vast amount of knowledge around the democratic nature of Unions. In addition, my time as an officer has allowed me to gain an insight an understanding into the processes, procedures of an organisation that focus on the needs and voices of students.

What made you want to nominate yourself for this position?

As an officer, being elected as a delegate will allow me to ensure that the views of our student body are championed. My current role has allowed me to access a database full of student views, feedback and opinions and therefore, places me in a good position to understand the needs of our students.

How would you engage with students before representing them nationally at NUS Conference?

Through my current role, I will make the policies known to students through my work social media, allowing students to express their views and opinions. In addition, I will work with the officer team and the rest of the union to ensure that we are always representing the views of our students.

Describe a time you created change or had a positive impact that benefited other people.

I was heavily involved with the Student Law society as a Debating VP, this allowed me to encourage and empower student in the society to compete against other universities.
