MR IMAN HUSSAIN

What experience do you have that will help you in this role?

Over the last year I've been faculty rep here at the university. As rep I represented the student's issue's, fought for improvments to our courses and timetabling, and increased access to facilities. I worked with the Uni/Union to create more opportunities and funding for students in all fields.

What made you want to nominate yourself for this position?

Although I accomplished everything I set out to do during the last year, I'm a firm believer of constant refinement and development. I always think there are things to improve and issues to solve; it would be my pleasure as rep to solve student's issues and campaign for them university wide.

What do you think is the biggest issue students face in your faculty and how would you try to help resolve it?

Student - Tutor interaction is definitly a point that needs to be worked on. With the current return on feedback approaching 4 weeks I will make it my duty to ensure that our faculty can deliver clear and constructive feedback sooner rather than later. Also promote usage of sams to organise meetings

Describe a time you created change or had a positive impact that benefited other people.

At the University I saw massive amounts of facilities and computers that were ageing and unused. As Faculty Rep I made it my business to revitalise the computer areas across campus &open up more electronic labs to students more of the time. I also oversaw the creation of the Hacking & drone socs.
