A big Freshers’ Welcome from your Students’ Union

 

Our Students’ Union Welcome Week activities get under way on Monday, September 25, with fun stuff planned across all campuses and we can’t wait to see you there.

With food and drink from local businesses as well as meet-ups with loads of community support for our students, there’s lots to look forward to.

We hope you can come along – and have a great time on us. We’ve lots on offer – from food, drink and freebies from local eateries, as well as support from major companies like Ikea, who are set to take you on a visit so you can buy your new home essentials.

This time of year is always really special and exciting for us as we meet our new students – who automatically become our members – and welcome back old friends.

Whether you have travelled thousands of miles from across the globe or just a short distance from the heart of the Black Country, it’s brilliant to meet you.

And this year will be more memorable than ever as we unveil our brand sparkling new facilities – our Luna Lounge bar, Deli Moon juice bar and eatery and The Den, our social space.

There’s also a fantastic Full Moon launch party planned for 7pm in our Luna Lounge bar – watch this space for news of how to buy tickets.

This year, underpinned by our commitment to belonging, community, and student wellbeing, we’re bringing the local community in, providing great entertainment and giving you a chance to meet your fellow students, representatives, president and vice president team, as well as our varied societies to help you make the most of student life here with us.

And if you have an idea for another society, we’d love to hear it – we’re always ready, willing and able to support students who are passionate about a hobby, cause or culture they feel needs a brand new society all of its own.

Eat, drink, chat and relax at your new-look Students’ Union – with our new bar, deli and social space

 

We are so excited to bring you our brilliant new spaces and buzzing to build our sense of student community through special times here with us at the heart of your university life.

All of our new facilities:

Luna Lounge

Deli Moon

The Den

Bring together a vision for students by students.

Luna Lounge is our first bar on-site for 15 years – with filling meals and an impressive range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. There’s also a space for live music so watch this space for details of upcoming performances and events.

Deli Moon brings a great new chance to sample fresh, healthy, tasty snacks and meals, with a juice bar, not forgetting our fantastic coffee from The Sassy Coffee Company, produced locally.

The Den is a space to kick back and relax whenever you need or to meet friends.

 

This ambitious project is provided by us, your Students’ Union, and backed by the University.

 

It’s all part of our “Proudly Wolverhampton” vision by the Students’ Union to give you the best experience possible.
