Collective Vision

Collective Vision is where students can see and vote on the live campaigns your Students’ Union is working on and suggest new campaign ideas that could improve student life in your course, campus, community, or student experience.
The Students' Union will review your idea and determine the best next step, which may include gathering feedback, supporting an existing campaign, raising it with the Officer team or University, or developing it into a new campaign.

Not every idea can be taken forward even if it gets a lot of votes, but we want to be clear about the outcome and reasoning. You can also raise issues through your Officer team, Course Reps, Community Organiser and Faculty reps.

If you see an idea you would like to know more about, click the title and you will be given more details on the idea.

    Safe Spaces for Neurodivergent Students

    Current
University can be quite overwhelming for all students but for Neurodivergent students it can be so overwhelming that students may need to leave lectures and seminars to regulate or decompress. Not having a designated place to do this can mean that students have to go home rather than being able to take some time out and return to Lectures. This could be easily addressed by the university allocating rooms to be adapted into safe spaces with dimmable lighting and spund proofing. Acessible rooms in each building would mean that students would not have to treck accross campus to find somewhere quiet while they are already struggling. Safe spaces could mean better mental health, improved attendance and fewer cases of burnout.

Not every idea can be progressed, but students deserve to know why.
This section includes ideas that did not meet the threshold, could not be achieved, or were not realistic at the time. Where possible, the Students’ Union will explain why, such as cost, practical barriers, limited demand, policy restrictions, or where the idea sits outside the Union’s influence.
