IKEA Shopping Trip Giveaway – Terms & Conditions
1. Promoter
The promoter is University of Wolverhampton Students’ Union, Ambika Paul (MD) Building, Wulfruna Street, Wolverhampton, WV1 1LY. Registered Charity No. 1136470. Registered Company No. 07275807.
2. Eligibility
The giveaway is open to current University of Wolverhampton students with an Instagram account. Employees of the Students’ Union who are directly involved in administering the giveaway, and their immediate families, are not eligible. The Students’ Union may ask a selected winner for reasonable proof of student status. No purchase is necessary.
3. Promotion period
The giveaway opens when the official IKEA Shopping Trip Giveaway post is published on @wolvessu. Entries close at 12:00pm BST on Wednesday 30 September 2026. Entries received after that time will not be included.
4. How to enter
To enter, participants must follow @wolvessu on Instagram, like the official giveaway post and tag another current University of Wolverhampton student in its comments. One valid entry per Instagram account will be included in the draw. Additional comments or tags will not create additional entries.
5. Prizes and trip
There are 5 winners. Each winner will receive two pairs of tickets for the IKEA shopping trip on Thursday 1 October 2026, making 10 pairs of tickets in total. The coach picks up at 11:30am from City Campus and 12:00pm from Walsall Campus and is scheduled to leave IKEA for the return journey at 3:00pm.
Tickets cover the shopping trip described above. Purchases at IKEA and any other personal expenses are the responsibility of the travellers. Tickets are not transferable or exchangeable for cash.
6. Winner selection and notification
The 5 winners will be selected at random from valid, eligible entries after the closing time. The Students’ Union will retain a record of the selection process. Winners will be contacted by the official @wolvessu Instagram account. Selected winners must provide the information reasonably needed to confirm eligibility and arrange their places before departure. If a selected winner cannot be contacted in time or is ineligible, another winner may be selected at random from the remaining valid entries.
The Students’ Union will never ask a winner to make a payment or provide bank or card details to claim a prize.
7. Personal information
Personal information provided in connection with this giveaway will be used as needed to administer the draw, verify eligibility, contact winners and arrange the trip, in line with the Students’ Union’s applicable privacy policies.
8. General
The Students’ Union may disqualify fraudulent, automated or misleading entries, or entries that do not meet these terms. If circumstances outside its reasonable control affect the trip, the Students’ Union will inform winners as soon as reasonably possible.
