We have an amazing team of student staff who help us provide a vibrant and professional service and shape the SU’s on-going development.

As SU Lounge assistant you will be required to assist the manager in the delivery of a high-quality food and drink provision and provide excellent customer service at the Walsall SU Lounge.

Primary responsibilities: 
1.     To serve and assist customers in a friendly and efficient manner and create an enjoyable and welcoming environment for students. 

2.     Preparation, cooking and presentation of hot food in the kitchen and preparation of and service of all other menu items, including beverages and alcoholic drinks.   

3.     To work with other team members to ensure the Work Rota is always covered and a high-quality customer service is always provided.  

4.     To comply with Hygiene and Health & Safety regulations and requirements to ensure the 5* rating is retained.  

5.     To work flexible hours including daytimes, evenings, and weekends in order to support the delivery of a regular programme of events provided by the SU. 

6.     To suggest improvements to systems and processes based on experience and student feedback. 

Please note that the rota is decided by the nature of service provided by the Union and,as a result you may be required to work evenings or weekends.
