About Us
The Table is a welcoming, student-led Christian society that is open to everyone, regardless of background or beliefs.
The Table
Community. Conversation. Connection.
The Table is a welcoming, student led Christian society at the University of Wolverhampton, open to everyone regardless of background or beliefs.
Our aim is to create a relaxed and inclusive community where students can meet new people, build genuine friendships, have fun and explore conversations around life, culture and faith.
While The Table is rooted in Christian values, you do not need to be a Christian to join and there is no expectation for members to hold particular beliefs or take part in religious activities. Come as you are, get involved at your own level and enjoy being part of a positive student community.
🌟 Our Plans
We plan to organise activities approximately every two weeks throughout the academic year, with a mixture of social, community and faith based opportunities.
🎲 Games Nights
Relax, have fun and meet new people through casual games and social activities.
💬 Discussions and Debates
Explore interesting questions around life, culture, faith and the world around us in an open and respectful environment.
🎳 Social Events
We plan to organise activities such as bowling and other opportunities to spend time together away from campus.
📖 Bible Studies
Informal and pressure free sessions for students who are interested in exploring Christianity and the Bible further.
🤝 Community Events
We hope to organise larger events and collaborate with other student societies, creating opportunities to connect with the wider student community.
🎯 Our Aims
• Create a welcoming and inclusive community for students from all backgrounds and beliefs
• Help students meet new people, develop genuine friendships and build a sense of belonging
• Organise engaging and accessible social events, games, debates and discussions
• Provide opportunities to explore Christianity, faith and important questions about life in an open and respectful environment
• Work with other societies and communities to bring students together
💷 Events and Costs
Most activities taking place on campus will aim to be free or low cost for members.
Some external activities, such as bowling or trips, may require attendees to contribute towards the cost. We will always aim to keep activities as accessible and affordable as possible.
Whether you are looking for a new group of friends, somewhere to socialise, interesting conversations or an opportunity to explore faith, there is a place for you at The Table.
Everyone is welcome to pull up a chair.
