Hello and welcome to Wolves Muslim Girls Society (MGSoc)! 🤍

MGSoc is a welcoming community for Muslim women at the University of Wolverhampton, created to provide a space where sisters can connect, build meaningful friendships, strengthen their faith and feel part of a supportive community throughout university life.

Whether you’re a Fresher hoping to meet new people, a returning student looking to expand your circle, a commuter wanting to feel more connected to university, or simply looking for a community of Muslim sisters - there’s a place here for you  🌷.

We want MGSoc to be more than just a society you join. We want to create a genuine sisterhood where Muslim women from different courses, years, cultures and backgrounds can come together, support one another and make memories beyond the classroom.

✨ What to Expect

Throughout the year, we’re hoping to bring you a mixture of social, faith-based, educational and wellbeing activities, including:

• 🌷 Sisterhood Socials & Meet and Greets - relaxed events designed to help you meet new sisters and make friends, even if you come alone.
• 🎨 Activities & Girls’ Nights - games nights, creative activities, brunches, dinners, picnics and other fun socials.
• 🌙 Faith & Islamic Events - opportunities to learn, reflect and grow together in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
• 💗 Wellbeing & Self-Care -events and conversations around university life, confidence, wellbeing and looking after ourselves.
• 📚 Study & Academic Support - study sessions and opportunities to connect with sisters across different courses and year groups.
• 🤍 Charity & Giving Back -fundraising and charitable initiatives that allow us to make a positive difference together.
• ✨ Collaborations & Special Events - working with other societies and university communities to bring you even more throughout the year.

And that’s only the beginning -  we want our members to help shape MgSoc, so we’ll regularly ask what you want to see from the society.

Build a strong sisterhood: Create a welcoming environment where Muslim women can meet, connect and support one another.

Create a sense of belonging: Help sisters - particularly new students and commuters - find their community at university.

Support faith and personal growth: Provide opportunities to learn, reflect, develop and grow together.

Create meaningful experiences: Give our members opportunities to socialise, try new things and make memories throughout their university journey.

Celebrate our diversity: Bring together Muslim women from different cultures, backgrounds, courses and stages of university life.
