Financial worries

Coursework and Deadlines

 

This feedback was reported by students from: the Business School and the School of Social Sciences. Students have access to an academic success coach and personal tutor throughout time of study. You can contact them and make them aware of your worries surrounding university work. Students are all allowed a 1 week extension 3 times in an Academic Year, this can be completed via E:Vision - Read more on extensions here: Extensions and Extenuating Circumstances

 

Difficulty Navigating Around Campus

 

We’ll be increasing our visibility on campus to support students who may be finding it difficult to navigate. Emily will be at the Business School on Wednesdays wearing her green SU top, and Riley will be there on Fridays. The aim is to create a welcoming presence so students feel more comfortable approaching us for directions or any questions they may have.

 

Workload

 

This feedback was reported by students from Professional Policing, Economics and Finance and MREs Business. If you are worried about the workload / assignments on your course there are facilities put in place by the university to help you. Personal tutors and academic coaches - You should be assigned a personal tutor, who is responsible for advising you on all matters relating to the academic aspects of your course and your progress on it. E:vision will be able to tell you who your personal tutor is. You can also contact Study Skills Advisers - Available to give you one-to-one advice on your academic work. They can give you general advice and help or can focus on a specific problem. They are situated in the libraries.
