Voting in the SU Elections 2026

It’s that time of year again — Students’ Union Elections are here! 🎉

Campaigning has officially started, and you’ll start to see (and hear!) the buzz across campus over the next few weeks. Candidates will be out and about sharing their ideas, speaking to students, and encouraging you to get involved. This is your chance to have a say in who represents you for the 2026/27 academic year and makes real changes to student life.

Whether it’s improving your academic experience, making the campus more inclusive, or bringing more exciting events, the Students’ Union is shaped by your vote.

🗳️ Voting Opens Wednesday 4th March

Voting will take place in person from Wednesday, 4th March until Wednesday, 11th March. Voting closes at 4pm on Wednesday, 11th March.

We’ve listened to your feedback, and voting will be in-person only to create a more engaging and community-driven experience. Plus, when you cast your vote, you can pick up some freebies at the ballot stations!

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Students must bring a valid Student ID to vote.

📍 When and where?

You can vote at any of our polling stations, which will be located across campus.

The full schedule of polling stations will be available here.

💡 Why should you vote?

Voting in the SU Elections isn’t just a formality — it’s how you make change happen.

By voting, you’re:

✅ Choosing who represents you
✅ Shaping the future of your university
✅ Strengthening student democracy

You’re voting for Sabbatical Officers, who are full-time, paid student representatives who lead the Students’ Union for a year. They work to improve student life, campaign on key issues, and ensure the University listens to student needs.

The elected roles include:
SU President
VP Academic
VP Community & Welfare
VP Diversity

Make your voice heard. Be part of the buzz on campus — and don’t forget to have your say! 📣
