Innovate. Connect. Code.
The BCS Student Chapter Society at the University of Wolverhampton is an official student branch of the British Computer Society (The Chartered Institute for IT). We aim to bring together students with an interest in computing, technology, and innovation to collaborate, learn, and prepare for careers in the digital world.
Our society provides a platform for students from all computing-related courses to share knowledge, network with professionals, and explore emerging technologies in a supportive, community-driven environment.
We organise a range of activities designed to enhance both technical and professional development, including:
Workshops & Tutorials – Learn new programming languages, software tools, and industry-standard practices.
Guest Speaker Sessions – Hear from BCS members, alumni, and industry professionals about real-world challenges and career pathways.
Tech Talks & Hackathons – Collaborate on creative coding challenges and showcase your innovative ideas.
Networking & Mentoring – Build connections with peers and professionals across the IT and computing community.
Social Events – Relax, meet like-minded students, and celebrate milestones together.
Bridge Academia and Industry Connect students with the wider professional network of the British Computer Society.
