HOW TO GET A FIRST IN HIGHER EDUCATION

This will be a one hour presentation followed by questions and one to one sessions on a first come first served basis (Please book on arrival)

Michael Tefula, author of the Amazon Bestseller How to Get a First graduated in 2010 with a first-class degree in accounting and finance at the University of Birmingham. He won various prizes for achieving high marks and co-founded the University of Birmingham Entrepreneurs’ Society. After graduating Michael qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Deloitte and is currently a full-time author and consultant.
In his presentation Michael will discuss
Fundamentals (3 key areas)
· The Passion Myth–"You aren’t always born with a passion, sometimes it has to be cultivated!"
· The Growth Mindset- "Your beliefs will affect how well you do."
· The Will Smith Work Ethic– "What sort of efforts are likely to lead to success at university?"
Study Strategies (4 key areas)
· Memory tactics – “How can you remember things better?”
· Procrastination – “How you can stop putting things off.”
· Coursework – “The S.U.C.C.E.Ss strategy for higher marks.”
· Exams – “What do smart students do to ace exams?”
There will be a free copy of the book for all who sign up to additional support after the event!
