Volunteer Mentor - UASC

This opportunity is ongoing, with no end date.

We are looking for creative, enthusiastic and positive role models for young, unaccompanied asylum seekers who are in the UK alone or with limited access to positive relationships outside professional support. You will be engaging, motivating and encouraging young people to access early intervention, feel part of their community and helping create personalised support for each person.

Training information

A friendly and approachable personality is required A good level of English reading and writing Basic computer skills A basic knowledge of the asylum system Essential languages - Kurdish, Arabic, Vietnamese, Tigrinya, Amharic or Farsi
