Delivered in partnership between the University of Wolverhampton and the Students' Union, Volunteer Central is here to provide a volunteering experience tailored to you. Whether you are looking to volunteer to gain experience and build your CV, give back to the community, or to simply try something new and pass on your passion to others, Volunteer Central is here to help.
Volunteering can provide valuable experiences that are useful additions to your CV and employers value this kind of learning. It is a great way to enhance your university experience and gain new skills that will benefit you as a graduate, but most of all, volunteering is about helping other people.
Volunteering your time and energy to work with others gives something back to the community in which you live, work or study. You gain the satisfaction of contributing the skills you have, and the opportunity to develop new ones.
Volunteering is a chance to network and get to know people in your community, as well as to develop an understanding of community issues. You can build up your confidence ... and you can have fun!
Our Volunteer Central programme enables you to gain new skills and valuable experiences by volunteering with local voluntary and community groups. The University's strong commitment to the community is demonstrated through the many volunteering activities of students and staff, who share their existing skills and expertise while enhancing a sense of community involvement.
