All students should have access to free printing. This is something the University can offer. As a pharmacy students we are regularly expected to print out work for continuing assessments. If this is not possible then credit system each term would be supportive.

5:45pm on 13 Apr 19 I agree there should be an allowance but out-right unlimited free printing is just unrealistic. As Phoebe has said, maybe giving all students £10 credit at the beginning of the year could work. I'd like to see the Uni subsidising the dissertation printing costs. It cost me £23 to print two copies of the dissertation for handing in, which is a compulsory part of my course...

2:02pm on 12 Apr 19 The only issue with giving out free printing, is that people would take the Mick: printing War and Peace. The best solution would be to give students £10 in free printing credit each year, to help with general, small print jobs throughout the academic year. Also, FYI, any print credit you add online, that you don't use by the time you leave, you can request back as a card refund (hence the removal of the cash system for printing).
