This Idea for Change has passed to the Student Change team for action:

  • 18 April 2019: IT services have put a locking mechanism on PC's in the Harrison Learning Centre, 3rd Floor by the atrium and are looking to widen this service to the 1st floor of the MI building and the social computer spaces in MU at City Campus. They are also looking into extending this service to areas in Walsall campus where there is heavy footfall. If you have any feedback you'd like to give on this service, please email: and we will be happy to liaise with IT services.

This Idea is a win, and is thus complete.

2:36pm on 4 Dec 18 I've left my laptop unattended while nipping to the Uni Shop/Starbucks and I've never had any issues with work being deleted or my laptop being nicked...

7:58pm on 28 Nov 18 Floor 3 in the Harrison centre always has computers free when I've been up, but like the person who wrote this said, if you leave your stuff unattended expect, at the minimum for your work to be deleted.
