Explanation

It would be nice if Wolves were to host a winter and/or summer ball. The law society seems to do a very good job at it so why not one the University overall!

Get students from across all the faculties together for a night of dressing fancy and chit-chat.

This Idea has passed to the Diversity Officer for action:

  • 9 Oct 2018: The Diversity Officer will be looking into an end of year celebratrion for student leaders. We'll give further updates before 23 Oct 2018.
  • 7 Nov 2018: We're awaiting input from the Diversity Officer into the progress of this Idea. We'll give further updates by 28 Nov 2018.
  • 23 Jan 2019: We've followed up with the Diversity Officer and hope to get an update on the progress of this Idea before 13 Feb 2019.
  • 18 Feb 2019: We've followed up with the Diversity Officer and she has informed us that the ball will coincide with the SU Awards, which are due to take place on the 5th April at the Chancellor's Hall. Tickets to this event will be free. You can expected to see advertising for this event by the end of Feb across our social media platforms.

5:20pm on 5 Sep 18 News will be coming out soon about a Winter Party (masquerade... I like to think that's formal enough!), run by The Order Of The Helix society. This will be advertised to, and therefore open to, all students, staff, plus-ones, etc. Keep an eye on Wolves SU social media, The Order Of The Helix Facebook page, Canvas, and other places (e.g. posters) for more info. Ticket prices are looking to be £10-£15, so its pretty reasonable.
