Spurgeons is a charitable organisation that provides support for children, young people and families. Spurgeons Young Carers Project supports young people between 7- 18 years who have a caring role for a member of their family unit. We’re currently delivering more than 81 projects to support children, young people, their families and communities to find long-lasting solutions to the challenges they face - including poverty, abuse problems, offending, and other social issues. At any one time, we’re reaching out to over 35,300 children and young people.

  • Young Carers Support Volunteer

    This opportunity is ongoing, with no end date.

    Wolverhampton Young Carers Service offers 8-18 year olds respite from their caring role. Young carers are children who help care for someone within their family. That person maybe parents, siblings, grandparent or other relative who may be affected by physically disability, mental health conditions, substance misuse, any long term illness etc. The service offers free transport to and from the centre. Confidential one-one support, information and advice, an activity break, make friends and have fun.

  • Dudley Young Carers Volunteer

    To support on a one to one basis with a young carer offering time out whilst raising their self esteem and confidence, or to be part of a group session/activity providing support and respite from their caring role through fun based activities
