St Albans Community Association is a registered Charity base in Smethwick. We offer a variety of services including lunch club and out meals service for the elderly, pre school service for 3 - 5 year olds and an advocacy and befriending service.

Befriending Volunteer

This opportunity is ongoing, with no end date.

We are looking for volunteers for 1-2 hours per week to visit elderly, socially isolated people in their own homes or accompany them to activities. Volunteering as a befriender will give you the chance to learn new skills, add to your work experience and make a difference in the community.

Training information

There is an optional, fun and informative training package that can assist you in your role as a befriender. A full and comprehensive induction will be completed. You will receive regular support and supervision.
