Welcome to Sign Language Society (SLS)

The UoW Sign Language Society have been running since 2008. In this society is where you get to meet sign language users who are either hearing impaired from the local Wolverhampton or all over of UK and Sign Language interpreter – both graduated and students. Our usual meeting is at The Goose Pub, every Friday at 7pm to 11pm and feel free to pop in at any time to socialise with us.

During the meeting, you’ll get a chance to join the Deaf Events like quiz/games night, bar crawl, special occasion meal and the Annual Sign Language Society Ball. Learn about Deaf Community, have a volunteering opportunity. Also Sign Language Committee will be setting up important events such as encouraging well known Deaf people from Deaf community to be part of the Sign Language Society event to talk about their history, their job, and their hope for the future - which can be useful for University students’ study course.

To be a Sign Language Society member, you will need to pay £2 for the membership which last a year - in return you will get an amazing discount offer which will be announce on the event page or during the meeting.
