Hindu Society

Welcome to the official University of Wolverhampton Hindu Society page!

Our aim is to showcase not only the Hindu religion but also the culture that comes along with it. Being one of the oldest religions on earth, it has a lot of goosebumps-inducing information that may come as a surprise!

We are proud to be affiliated with the National Hindu Students Forum (NHSF); the largest movement of Hindu students across the UK which promotes the values of Hinduism with a modern outlook.

Along with our weekly chill & chat sessions, we plan on organising a range of fun Sewa (selfless service) and social events, a mere few including:

  • Garba night
  • Diwali festivities
  • Sports competitions
  • Sewa day/week (the week of helping the community)
  • Holi festivities
  • Temple visits
  • Learning about various rituals

Look out for our flagship event Colours of Light. Details to be added soon!

Contrary to the name, the society is not just about the Hindu religion and certainly not only for those who practice Hinduism. So whether you consider yourself to be religious or not, come along to learn about our culture and heritage, eat some yummy food and drink the occasional cup of chai whilst making friends to last a lifetime (or at least until the end of university!)

We hope to see you soon!

Meeting time and place: Student Union Boardroom (City Campus) - Every Wednesday from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM (Notifications will be sent for any changes in time and place)
