Thank you for visiting Afghan Society or afghansociety@wlv.ac.uk. I am sure most people are familiar with the name of Afghanistan which is located in the heart of South Central Asia with the history of over 5000 years. However, not many people are familiar with Afghanistan culture, history, food and hospitality.
The three core aims of the Afghan Society are to:
1. Organise meetings and social functions at University in order to promote Afghan culture.
2. Provide facilities for members where necessary.
3. Provide means of representation for the Afghan culture in sport, academic and social matters.
The Afghan Society works very closely with University of Wolverhampton to make events and participate in events to represent Afghanistan. The Afghan Society welcome anybody from any country of caste to join us. The members of the Society will have free access to all the events planned by the Afghan Society.
