University of Wolverhampton Students’ Union represents and supports around 22,000 students across three main campuses.  Many have overcome multiple systemic barriers simply to get to university and it’s up to us to give them a voice so that they can get the support and guidance they need to get the most from their time at university and achieve their potential when they leave.  

Our Student Voice manager plays an instrumental role in helping us to understand and act on Student Voice and we are now looking to appoint a proactive, passionate and committed individual to provide operational leadership and ensure that effective mechanisms are in place for a strong Student Voice.  

As Student Voice Manager you will lead a team of staff and volunteers and work with a range of internal and external stakeholders and gather and report on feedback from students.  You will initiate and oversee projects, oversee, and promote the union’s democratic processes, champion the needs of our students and influence policy changes.  This role is about getting involved.

To be successful you’ll need to

• Have an understanding of participation and engagement issues in the Higher Education and/or voluntary sectors.
• Experience of conducting feedback gathering exercises
• Be able to take a constructive and co-operative approach to solving problems and resolving conflict;
• Have experience of managing others; and
• Be able to build constructive relationships within a diverse group of individuals.
