It’s taken a lot of time and effort and fighting to get here, but finally we are in... And we haven't stopped yet! The juice bar will be open by the end of November, projector should be up soon, and most importantly I will be able to do events in Walsall! Any suggestions please drop me an email, or even better drop in and see me, you can even challenge me to a game of pool!

We have now had our first varsity of the year against university college of Birmingham, and I'm happy to announce that we won!!!! Fantastic effort from all our teams, and hopefully they will make us just as proud at the end of season for our second varsity!

At our AGM this year we chose our two chosen charities for raise and give (rag) that are the haven Wolverhampton and action against hunger. If you are interested in raising money for our two chosen charities, join the raise and give society to get updates and come to our meetings to plan events!

Society and volunteer training has now begun for the year, and each session has been well attended, with attendance growing each week, feel free to drop me an email if you want to get involved with this.

We have three very exciting events planned for you for the rest of this year, this month we have Hypnotic Halloween, with hypnotist Alan Bates, plus fancy dress competition, lots of games, and food on 27th October. November 17th we have a battle of the bands, if you want to find out how to get involved, please drop me an email. December 8th we have a fashion in conjunction with the haven Wolverhampton and midlands coop! If you have any clothes you want to show off, or be a model, get in touch!

Last but not least Crywolf is under new management! We have a new communications officer, new editors, and Crywolf is back, bigger and better than ever! So have a read, I am recommending 'beyond reasonable doubt' for this week’s reading, what are you reading this week?

I’m Elizabeth and I’m your new Activities VP. As the Activities VP, I am responsible for sports, societies, volunteering, union events and activities. I have previously got involved with the union and volunteering, and it was because of this that made me want to become a full time officer. I am currently in the middle of my studies, studying Event and Venue Management, having just completed my second year. Over the next year I would like to see more recreational sports, more community projects, increase societies, especially over at Walsall, and continue to offer support to existing societies. I will also organise more events at Walsall Campus, and continue regular events at City Campus, as well as holding events in the run up to the 2012 Olympic Games.

I will be over on Walsall Campus all day every Wednesday, and most Tuesday afternoons and Thursday mornings, spending the remainder of my time on City Campus, and will be based in the Activities Centre.
