Why our Awards are different

What makes our awards different is that they are student-led. That means students have chosen the categories and criteria, submitted the nominations and students will short-list nominations and be on the final judging panel.

So you know that whoever wins the awards has made a real difference to students’ lives.

The Students’ Union Teaching Awards will help to strengthen the student-lecturer relationship and will have the added benefit of providing an opportunity to share best practice and respond to positive student feedback.

The end result of these awards is to create a follow-up event to ensure that the nominees and winners of each of the categories have an opportunity to share their knowledge and experiences to others.
