WLV Sports Update March 2013

Just a quick update about some of our great results so far in 2012-13 for team wolves...

Men's Badminton - 3rd in their league (best result in years)

Men's Football 1st - 2nd in their league (good solid performances so far this year)

Women's Football - Having a fantastic season so far, 2nd in their league with a game in hand

Men's Hockey - also 2nd in their respective league with 2 games in hand

Netball 2nds  - 2nd in their league

Men's Rugby  - in 3rd place with 4 games in hand on the 1st place  - great season so far!!!

A special mention for Ju Jitsu who were awarded club of the year by the Jitsu foundation, with competitors also bringing back medals from randoori nationals

BUCS Indoor Championships were held this weekend at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield with some great performances. Many athletes qualified for semi and finals places and Jake Porter won Gold in the 60m hurdles - Well Done Jake!!

The 2013 Sports Awards will be held on Wednesday 20th March  - you can purchase tickets online or from City & Walsall SU's...don't miss out!
