It's often not enough to have just a degree - employers want to see evidence of the extra skills you have gained at University. By becoming a School rep you will gain many of the vital transferable skills that will make you stand out from the rest in the graduate job market. Plus you will get the chance to make a difference to the running of your School. Everyone's a winner!
For democratic purposes School Reps are elected from the student body via the Students' Union. However, because the election process has now finished for 2007-08 positions, School reps may now be 'co-opted'. The posts last from September 2007 to June 2008. There is one position for representation at this level in each School.
