American Football

The AU has a link with a local American Football team, Shropshire Revolution who welcome university students to try out during the season.

AmericanFootballClub

Shropshire Revolution is an amateur sporting club run by and on behalf of its members. Our purpose is to play and promote American Football, to engender a strong ‘team spirit’ amongst our members and to enjoy our sport whilst training or playing – always in a safe environment.

By its very nature American Football is a sport that requires an enormous amount of effort and organisation – both on and off the field and, like all other clubs in the UK, Shropshire Revolution are always looking for help.

If you are interested in playing, despite being physically demanding, the sport is one that can accommodate all shapes and sizes. And for those who have no playing experience, don’t worry, Revolution have a team of experienced coaches who can teach you the fundamentals of the sport. All we ask for from you is commitment and hard work.

Training

We train twice a week, Sunday mornings and Thursday evenings with sessions taking place at either Telford College of Arts and Technology (TCAT) Superdome or Telford Hornets Rugby Club, depending upon the time of year. Our annual 'rookie trials' are being held this year at TCAT on Sunday, 18 November (from 10am).
