Reduce the Risk of Attack
Try not to walk home alone at night - if possible, walk in areas that are well lit and avoid using subways.
Whenever possible, try to use University or other transport.
Carry a personal attack alarm (available at a discounted rate from the Students' Union, Advice and Support Centre and at SU receptions on each campus)
Enrol on self defence classes, look out for posters. Classes have been held at Wolverhampton and Telford and proved very popular as well as value for money.
Bear in mind:
- Be prepared
- Look confident
- Avoid risks
- Never assume "it won't happen to me!"
