Lists of available lodgings can be obtained from Residential Services or from www.studentpad.co.uk
If lodgings are what you require, you would normally be living with a family with a room of your own.
Ensure the following areas are agreed on before moving in - rent, retainer, meals, notice to quit, deposit, heating, laundry, compatibility with landlord/ co-tenants, and Council Tax liability.
Be aware that your rights as a tenant sharing a property with a landlord are significantly different to your rights as a Private Tenant. If you are unsure of these, contact the Advice and Support Centre Housing Adviser
