Housing

housing
Once you know you have a place at the University of Wolverhampton and you are sure that you will be living away from home, you will need to ask yourself a few questions in order to assess your housing needs:

What area would you prefer to live in? Do you want to share with others? Do you want a house, flat, bedsit, lodgings or University Halls? and, most important of all, How much can you afford to pay in rent?

It is important that students make an effort to visit their campus town before the start of the academic year. For those who have left it too late looking for accommodation, you may have to accept a property that may be less desirable.

Unfortunately, it is sometimes the case that a house itself is up to a good standard, but the behaviour of the landlord leaves a lot to be desired. Always consider this when looking for somewhere to live.

http://www.studentpad.co.uk lists all properties currently Accredited with the University. This means every one of these houses has been checked for Gas, Electrical and Fire Safety

Wherever possible, try to speak to the existing tenants. If you take on a property you have been warned against, you do so at your own risk!
