Problems with Your Course?

Occasionally, you may experience problems with your course. If the problem is purely academic and related to a particular module, the person to see is your Module Leader. If you are having problems with an individual lecturer, see your Course/Award Leader.

If there are ongoing problems that affect the efficient running of the course, try contacting your School Rep or Defined Area Rep.

Are there other students on your course who feel the same as you? Ask around. Student reps can raise matters with the relevant staff on your behalf or on behalf of a class.

If the issues are still not resolved, you may wish to consider using the University's formal complaints procedure.

If the issue is a sensitive one, or you are finding it difficult to approach someone in your school, you can speak to someone unrelated to your Course/Award. This could be either the Vice President (Academic) of the Students' Union or, if the matter is personal, someone from the University's Counselling Services.
