Candidate running for Academic Vice-President
Everyone knows that over the last couple of years The Students’ Union has been a place of change, as The Sports and Societies Officer this year and an active member of the SRC the year before I have been at the centre through my convictions.
I have been part of an Executive that has come through some difficulty that have now equipped me in the ability to steer The Union in the right direction.
Take the time to read through my Manifesto Aims and to get a Heads up to what should be happening at your Union and University next year.
STUDENT REPS - Although voluntary I want to work with the University is that these positions are recognised for the hard work they demand and look for the University to award module points where fit.
ANONYMOUS MARKING – Why EVERYTIME you print out at the Learning Centre do you receive a paper format A4 receipt? I want the University to recognise this as a gross waste of resources and find an adequate alternative method.
LEARNING CENTRE OPENING TIME – I will push to include FRIDAY and SATURDAY into the plans for extended opening times. I will also ask for a trial of 24-hour opening service around important hand in dates such as Dissertation deadlines at all Compton, City, Telford and Walsall Learning Centres.
