International NI and NHS Numbers
It is important that all students receive medical care and treatment when needed. As an International/EU student it is not always clear as to what information is needed to get correctly registered with a local G.P., obtaining a N.I. number and the benefits of getting these sorted promptly. We aim to address these problems by raising awareness of the problem and helping to get students correctly registered.
We have 10% E.U. Students and 12% International Students. This problem has been identified by current research and feedback from students who have suffered with problems last year. Ignorance is not acceptable, all students matter and we care for student welfare
This will impact on the huge number of international/EU students. This will ensure that students do not miss out on employment options and are not delayed. Will highlight other potential problems such as health checks and minimum wage standards. We will see an increase in the amount of students registered locally.
