Citizen Card

Police are advising students not to use their passports or driving licences (or similar, important documents) as proof of ID when going out. 

You may, instead, want to apply for a CitizenCard, which is Government-approved PASS (Proof of Age Standards Scheme) Accredited (i.e. approved by the Home Office, Association of Chief Police Officers, and Trading Standards) which you can use to prove your age when out and about.
